Step Two: Incorporate Yoga & Meditation Into Your Daily Routine

The term “yoga” comes from a Sanskrit (an ancient language in Hinduism) literally means “union”. Yoga is associated with traditional and mental disciplines originating in India. There are many different styles of modern day yoga, but all generally include breath control, simple meditation and the adoption of specific body positions.

Mainstream yoga typically views yoga as a physical practice with a spiritual part, whereas traditional yoga is seen as a spiritual practice with a physical part. Traditional yoga, as developed in India, has deep religious roots. It is often called Siddha Yoga and it was founded by the late spiritual teacher, Swami Muktanada.

Siddha Yoga is the primary discipline to study and learn when trying to develop one’s psychic gifts because it’s more than a physical fitness program. This type of yoga is viewed as a spiritual path of discipline that awakens the practitioner to the divinity of one’s inner self as well as that of the world around him or her.
